Hello, i have an almost one year old male veiled chameleon, he hasnt fed for almost 2 weeks now. I have tried him with mealworms, crickets and waxworms and i have only seen him eat one mealworm, he did take a waxworm but i sort of force fed this by waiting till he gaped then placed it into his...
Hello, i am looking to buy some pygmy chameleons within the next few months, i have found many different rhampholeon species for sale in the UK but rarely any of the brookesia species. Are their any breeders of brookesia in the UK?
Ben
I really hope that wasn't a photoshop job, i dont think it was because it would be difficult to create that. The picture you attached dean pulcini is very blue but no were near as much so as the other, is it only one specie of jacksons that turns blue or is it all of them?
Ben
After doing a quick google search for pictures of jacksons chameleons i came accross this picture http://cn.dk.com/static/cs/cn/11/nf/features/rainforest/gallery14.html I have never seen one with such bright colours, is the picture a photoshop job or the real thing?
Ben
Thanks for all the helpfull replies, so the answer is simply no but if the cage is large enough then it will be ok to house more than one female in a cage. The story of the jacksons chameleons is intruiging, has anybody else heard of stores like this? as it would be great to house together a...
Hi, i am interested in breeding panther chameleons, what i would like to know is if it is posssible to house a pair together? if this is possible what size housing would they require? if it is not possible what other species of chameleon can be housed in pairs? i am especially interested in...
Thanks for clearing that up, he said that he knows a few people that have had them and that they are extremely difficult and only live a few months.....i have no idea why they have said that.
Thanks, Ben
I dont mean to steal your thread but i thought it would save me starting a whole new one. I heard from my local pet shop owner that pygmys don't live past 3 months??? and he also said they are very hard to look after.
Thanks, Ben

Hello, i am possibly going to be getting a pair of panthers soon and i wanted to know a couple of things about them. Firstly can they be housed in male and female pairs? if so what size viv would they need?
Thanks, Ben
I think they would be ok for a beginer but it would be fairly difficult to spot certain problems such as dehydration, which is spotted by sunken eyes and on the pygmys their eyes are very small. You would probably be better starting of with a larger chameleon such as a veiled but i think if you...
