Hello! I just wanted to point out that fake plants are not recommended for veiled chameleons because they eat plants sometimes. She could take a bite out of a fake plant. This is very dangerous. Just wanted to let you know.

Has she layed eggs yet?
@AmandaS Does she look gravid?

In this photo she looks thin, and not gravid.
Has she dug in her soil? Did you look in her soil after she was digging?

Yes she has been digging but is yet to lay eggs, I am taking her to the vet today just to make sure she is going to be okay.

In the picture that I linked she appears to have been digging. Do you have a thread going about this? Are you worried about something?
After taking her to the vet, she has no eggs and is not egg bound and there is nothing else abnormal on her X-ray. The vet didn’t give me a specific reason but said she was concerned. After research I think she is dehydrated or more stressed than usual so I am trying to give her more water and I put real plants in her cage as well as leaving her alone. Do you have any other advice?

also, I am sorry if I am posting on this forum site incorrectly. I am new to this and haven’t quite figured it out yet.

What are her temps like in her enclosure? If she is too warm she could be digging to escape the heat.
What is your supplement schedule?

Bottom of her cage always 70-75°, top usually 85-90°. But they open their mouth the breath when they’re hot don’t they? She has not been doing that. Also the first time she laid her eggs her bin was outside her cage and she laid them there. So when I thought she was laying this time I tried putting it in her and cage and out, she dug in both but obviously wasn’t looking for a place to lay eggs. Her bin outside her cage had no heat

Females shouldn't have temps higher than 80-81, or else she can lay huge clutches. Food+heat=big clutch, which can become a health concern.
That being said, that temp doesnt seem like it should make her dig. And definitely not in her bin that doesnt have heat.
Chameleons do open their mouth to regulate heat, but if she is gaping then it's far too hot already....luckily you said she isn't doing that.

The only other thing I can really think of, are there insects in your soil?

I recently cleaned her cage and found no insects. I give her the vitamin without D3 every two weeks. I now know I need to give this to her almost every feeding as well as vitamin with D3 every other week and a multi vitamin.

Well, is she eating the soil, or just digging in it? It *could* be a chemical imbalance that makes her wants dirt. Maybe after she gets on the right supplements she will stop digging. I honestly have no idea why she is digging.

Per the supplement, you can use a multivitamin with D3 in it and only use it twice a month, and all your other feeding can be the calcium without D3.
I use reptivite with D3.
So my schedule is calcium without D3 every feeding, but the 1st and 15th I use reptivite with D3.
That cuts out one of the supplements and makes it easier, IMO.
