Reptisun t5 5.0 uvb light strip
The uvb strip is propped up off the cage. It is about 11-12 inches from the basking spot.
We now have a 40 watt incandescent light bulb also which is sitting directly on top of the cage which is about 6-7 inches from the basking spot.

Ok basking is fine with that wattage... But the UVB is too far away for a T5 and 5.0 bulb. You want 8-9 measured inches from the bottom of the fixture to the top of the closest branches below. This will put them in the correct UVB level to ensure MBD does not become an issue. 11-12 inches is only done when using a 10.0 T5HO uvb bulb.
