Hera's Four Years Old and In Her New Room

Hera turned 4 years old and moved into her new room to celebrate. Her room is right outside my kitchen window so I can keep an eye on her while I work. She was a little stressed at first. She turns yellow when stressed but cruised around a bit and turned her beautiful blues. So far she has two laying bins, one with sand and one with top soil. I might add a third one as well. We still need to paint the outside and put up the screen door and will probably add another plant and more vines and branches.

On a sad note, it’s very hard to see Padre’s room and him not in it.

So very, very awesome!! And she gets her own A/C unit?!? My goodness, what a lucky lady! Who framed out the room? It looks very professionally done! Great job!

That is a beautiful room for Hera. I am sure you will enjoy seeing her and she seeing you. It is so sad you lost Padre, but it is some thing to thankful that you still have your loved Hera and maybe eggs.

wow what a beatiful view you have from your window! You guys just go above and beyond the standard cham keeping Jann. I have said it before, when I die I want come back as a chameleon in the Besok home!!!

Thank you for Hera's birthday wishes and compliments on her and her room. Here in FL it's so warm year round this is the only way we can keep her cool enough. We don't have an extra room inside that we could cool down for her.

Max, my husband framed in the room. He's been working on it a little at the time for the past several months.

Now that is amazing! Beautiful "enclosure" for a beautiful chameleon.
