I live way out in the mountains 70 miles from town and find plenty of insects and the most common one i see is the earwig, I have searched and found them harmless in nature and only eat leaf litter and such, They love flukers cricket feed, i have done a test to see so, Does anyone see a problem with my panther 6 month old eating these. Not as a staple food just as a treat. I also feed supers, crickets, and dubias, Thanks !!

Be careful; they may carry pesticides or other chemicals that can be rather hazardous to your awesome pet.

Just like mom says about wild animals..
"Don't touch it, you don't know where its been!"

I dont know any mom that said this.... hmmm:confused:

No bug pesticides here at all, 70 miles from town in a national park. I was aware of the chemical problems already. Just wondering if anyone has feed these to there Cham.

I dont know if they are naturally toxic. If not, I suddenly have another feeder option too!
The concern here, appart from possible natural toxicity (I've never seen birds eat them, that's often a good clue), is what the earwigs have been eating. They eat all sorts of plants as well as decaying matter, fungi and insects. If youre breeding them yourself, and thus know what they've been eating, that's better. Also I'd be inclined to remove the rear pincher cerci things

Earwigs freaks me out. Ughhh.. On top of that, they can probably nest inside your pot. I do not know if the chameleons will love eating this.

I doubt that they are poisonous.. probably, just taste nasty. :)

I have a bunch of these guys running around my cage. i let them be, they eat the dead leaves and poop, and my chams never even notice them.
