1.2 WC Tamataves

Project Tamatave started 3/9/2013....

My Friend Mike (MaxTTU) and I were offered a chance trade CB Ambilobes for wild caught Tamataves. Needless to say but we jumped at the opportunity to work with fresh blood lines and gain experience with wild caught animals.
I'm holding all three until Mike gets his cages set up. I plan to take terrabytes of pics while I have them all.

This is Mike's Male I'm calling Tommy Tomato from Tamatave.

Tommy is eating a drinking really good. but...
Tommy's first poo didn't look good. WORMS! it's Vet time for Tommy.

I have not seen a Poo from Tammy yet. Tammy is eating reallllly well.


This is my female tamatave that my daughter and wife named Pumpkin.
My poor Pumpkin is super skinny. I see bunch of wax worms in her immediate future. Pumpkin has been fascinated & taking full advantage of the basking lamp & routine waterings.

They all look so great! I saw them in person at the pet shop, but have not seen them since Jason picked them up! I can't wait to work with these guys and gals.

Deffo need to get Tomato in to the vet to see about those worms. I realize that wc's are a risk, but this guy "seems" healthy, active and alert.

I like that Jason is reporting that all three are eating and drinking! This should be a great project!
 
It's nice to see others working with Tamatave's Looks like you'll have some eggs very soon from those girls.
 
The first girl's colors along with her full looking belly could indicate she is gravid. If shes holding those colors in her enclosure. Anyway congrads on the sweet addition to your collection.I just picked up a sweet CH 8 month female myself.Shes a very spicy girl, I named her Blister. Theres a picture of HellBoy my male in my album
 
I was just teasing y'all. That's why I had the ;) . We picked the 1.2 up with the full understanding that the .2 were gravid. :)

Female #2 just pooed.. It looks some what good... so did the egg she dropped next to her poo. Tam egg#1 is in the incubator.

Tomato just eat 1 ML of reptaid in a superworm. I plan on giving him another .5 before bed.

Female #1 is still in shock. She is eating and drinking but not moving much. no poo yet.

Woohoo! Our 1st egg! Two days into this and you're an egg-making machine! :D

Any pics? Updates?? :)
