Fry's enclosure
2'x2'x4' tall. Hibiscus and Ficus and Pothos Plants inside. Housing 1 male ambilobe panther chameleon. Hooked up to a mistking misting system.

Nice setup, I would add some sort of drainage though. You also need more cover at the top. You can go get some cheap pots from HD to turn upside down. Then put the ficus on there to raise it up.

It's a good start, but for now I would keep them in something smaller. The mitsios are what 1.5 svl? You could even keep them in a large tupperware for now. They will have a much easier time finding food, as well as reaching the uvb rays. I assume you are planning on separating them soon?

i got two 2x2x4 gages.in one cage i got three 2 month old mitsios n the other i got a 4 month old faly
It's pretty austere.
I would (personally) like to see a lot more live vegetation in an enclosure.

Heres a picture of my cages for my rudis and carpet. The inside is full of live plants, branches, fake vines and electrical wire. It takes several minutes to find them, depending on wether or not they want me to see them.

On the he or she thing I'm a guy name is Donald. Working out plan to build a drainage system and get a misting system. Plan on putting one or two more plants in there but am waiting alittle cause I just got them a week ago and didn't want them to stress out more then they already were. I've doubled the bambo at the top n middle of cage. Haven't seen any problemswith them getting to were the uvb light is. They have no problem getting food as I place crickets by each Cham and watch to make sure they eat. As I only have the 2 cages my girl is gonna take her faly n probably my mitsio to her house soon

I agree with Brad Ramsey. You should put some more vegetation/vines in there to provide more cover for the chameleons.

cages at a farm in Madagascar.....
These are some of the chameleon cages I have seen in 2004 at a famous exporter’s farm in Madagascar. They were under construction at the time but I have seen them since in 2007 and 2008 and they are stunning. The cages are heavily planted now with sprinklers in each cage. The cages in the front row are about 9 feet wide, 12 feet high (!) and 10 feet deep and these are the smallest of the lot. Other cages are 2x and 4x that size.
The total surface with cages of this kind must be bigger than two football fields and in most cages, there was only a single chameleon! What a contrast with other “farms” I have seen in Madagascar and Africa.

This is a very nice cage, did you build this yourself or buy them?
