I bought another gut loader called natural cricket care with added vitamins and minerals from zoo med and someone had told me it wasnt really a gut loader so i then went ahead and bought the gut load cricket drink with calcium, and im wondering if this is a legitimate gut load or not, if not id appreciate it if someone could tell me what a good gut loader for crickets is thanks, Jay.

I have never used that specific brand. But a few years ago I used to give my crickets something similar and they would not eat it. Maybe u can have better luck with it. I would combine it with some veggies! :D

Now I use cricket Crack mixed with some veggies and sometimes I put some veggies in the blender and give the give them to my crickets and dubia:D

Hey thanks for the reply! :)
what brand is cricket crack from? zoo med, zilla?
ive heard of it but just havent seen it anywhere in my local pet stores, but ill go look better in petco next time.
And what kind of veggies do you think would be good to give in gut loading?

You can order cricket crack from tiki tiki reptiles. I would mix it with some apples, squash, and a half of carrot.

Hey~ if you type in "bug booster" in the search bar you should find my link to a wet gutload mix i make and freeze. I would send you some but shipping the stuff is $$$... especially to hawaii

You should also find yourself a dry mix (i also make one.. sandracham has a blog on it going)-- dry mixes help sustain your bug colonies better and dont need replacement as often. The tiki tiki one is good, but i'm not sure how good of a gutload it is-- a lot of beans... havent seen a Ca:p ratio on it, so i can't be sure.

Hey kewl ill check it out and yeah shipping can be a "B" with money here lol.
and hers what i use for a dry mix i think i posted it at the top natural cricket care with added vitamins and minerals from zoo med try and look it up idk if its a real gut load or not though since someone told me it wasnt here but it said so on the bottle :)

Anything fed to a cricket, is a gutload for that cricket.
There is no "fake or real" gutloads, only good, and bad ones.

The ones you find at big name pet stores, are generally the "bad" ones.

You want to provide a good variety of fresh things for gutloading.
Also, cricketcrack, bugburger, and dinofuel are great pre-made foods for your feeders.

Its the best for gutloading info;)
