My 4 year old ambilobe gets handfed with tongs since he has tounge problems. He has been letting me know its time to eat for several months now so I got it on video. Let me know what you think.

They are smarter than we realize. He can still use it but his aim steadily got worse a while back. I think it was due to a vit A deficiency caused by feeding hornworms from the garden that had eaten tomato plants. I give him extra vitamin a periodically but since I started dusting with repashy calc plus he seems to do a lot better. I started hand feeding since he was shooting wildly and I was worried that he may injure it. Hand feeding works out great with him anyway and he takes nearly anything I offer with the tongs.

very cool. i have a veiled that is hand fed as he has no tounge and he does a similar thing, sorta opens his mouth a bit and stares at me when he wants food
