she basks there on the left side at 85F that white thing you see hanging is a digital thermometer to keep the temp

But since your asking that I have a question. I see that pretty much everyone has there heat lamp sitting right on top of the cage. BUT when i do that her basking area is WAY to hot so i have it moved away from the cage so its not as hot

what must i do so i can put mine just sitting on top?

maybe the bulb is too hot?

I have the same reptisun as you and the same wattage bulb.. I just have the lamp Fixture farther from the top of the cage.. Having it on the side isn't a problem.. It's just an area of higher heat.. And you have it at a nice spot so he can't over heat!! Nothin wrong here.
