wound on rostral process

my male panther chameleon (about 3) just went through a shed, although i kept the humidity up, he was particularly bothered this time and i caught him rubbing his face on a screen and it appears he has done some damage to the front of his rostral process - advice to help this heal? wound dressings? thanks in advance!

Poor guy. There’s a few different things you can apply. The best would be silver sulfadiazine if you have any. It is a prescription only product that is generally used for burns, but is also excellent for wounds. The other two products are both over the counter - plain neosporin without pain relief or manuka honey for wounds. Whichever product you use, just apply a thin amount with a q tip daily. Do watch for any swelling or just looking worse and get him to a good vet.
