Will he be ok??

I took my veiled out today and he tried to get back in his cage. So while he was trying to do this he fell he hit his crest on the stand and landed a little shaken up. He acted fine but after about 6 minutes of handling him a bruise showed up on the top left side of his casque. Will he be ok? he acts normal but it worries me....

Chameleons will jump/drop if they feel threatened. He should be fine but if he's going to react like this then it's maybe best if you keep the handling to a minimum. A healthy cham shouldn't have too much bother with a bruise, just make sure his bones are ok and watch out for any strange behaviour.

Well he is fine he doesn't get angry when I take him out this is really the first time he's done this

Bruises are bruises. they get them, so long as he acts normal, eats and drinks etc.. the bruise will go away.

but i would take things slow with him, so it doesnt continue to happen.

I've been handling him quite a long time now. This is the first time he's done this. He still drinks and eats.
