Why won’t the bsf turn into flys?

So I swear I’ve had these bsfl for over a month now and they have cocooned, but I’ve only had like 3 emerge over a period of weeks. Anyone know why they wont cone out of their cocoons?
It’s getting ridiculous at this point.

For me they seem to do better after I started using a CHE on/near them to bump up their temps to around 80 🤷‍♂️

Same here. I prefer feeding them off as flying treats, but after what must have been a couple of months, nada. So I ordered 500 more and stuck them all together. Finally I was getting some flies after a few weeks…not 500 though. Now it’s back to nothing but lots of bsfl squirming around after a couple of weeks. 🤷‍♀️

is there anyway to keep them from pupating for a few weeks? Or is inevitable and impossible to stop? Lol

I used to get mine from rainbow mealworms and they always hatched into flies and Eustis loved the larvae but recently I started getting them from dubia.com and they don’t even pupate. They just dry up and die within a few days and Eustis wont eat them!
