He guys I have a 6 1/2 month old panther chameleon. Currently he's house in a 18"x30"x30", I'm thinking about moving him into a 24"x24"x48" in about two-three months. So he would be around 8-9 months old. Do you think he should be fine in his current cage until then?

Mine has actually been in his 2' x 3' x 4' high enclosure since he was 4 months old and did just fine. If yours is 6.5 months old now I think you'd be fine to move him any time.

cage size?

anytime an appearently healthy cham actively free roams their cage, has no trouble returning to their dripper or basking spot or feeding cup (if cup fed) or actively searches for food outside of their cup, then imo it is fine to increase cage size if able./ if a cham has trouble with any of the above issues, stays mostly in one place, or you often find it in lower corner or unfurnished part of the cage, or it has any health issues, then increasing cage size might not be a good idea./ by 6 months most healthy chams should be able to utilize all the cage you can give them, if they cant, i would say there may be other issues that need to be looked at. jmo
