I LOVE pissed off chams! Though I sometimes feel a little bit sorry for all their sort of futile efforts to scare me off. They are so passionately serious with all the flapping, rocking, tail lashing, inflating, hissing and buzzing. My favorite threat is twig shaking. Wish I could give their little egos more of a feeling of accomplishment.

I remember grinning at a furious F. bifidus in a roadside bush in Madagascar who just about launched himself into space in his attempts to intimidate our group of admiring humans. Despite all this I'm afraid we still coerced him onto a branch so we could take closeups. Hope he wasn't too humiliated. He was very sulky when returned to his little kingdom.
