When does he eat

I just got one yesterday and I was wondering is it normal just to stay up on the top of the tree? And I put some crickets in there but he doesn’t seem interested.

It takes about two weeks before your cham will settle down and start to be comfortable. It will eat when it's hungry, but I would keep count of how many feeders you put in each day to keep track of how much your cham eats. What's your setup like? Lights, temps, humidity, mist or drip, and what are you dusting your feeders with? Also, you have to post photos of your set up and you cham so we can all oogle at your new cham!

For temps it’s usually 70-78 and where he stays at the basking spot it’s 80-85. And I mist too.

I do mist, I mist 3 times a day and the temps at bottom is 70-78 and the basking it’s 85-92.

With that type of light and hood you're "forcing" him to sit under the basking light to get his UVB. The long linear Reptisun 5.0 tube UVB lights are what we all recommend using for a UVB light.

Please answer the questions in the how to ask for help thread near the top of the health forum for us so we can see if your husbandry is good.

I do have a 5.0 reptisun tub so should I put it in a different spot of the cage?
