hey how far into the chameleons pregnancy can you feel some egg lumps in the female. My female has been gravid for 22 days and has put in 19 grams and looks quit abit chubbier but i still cant feel any eggs in her. Last time i bred veileds i didnt realy feel for any eggs until afew days before the cham layd, i lifted her up and felt some bumps so im just curious when you can feel them. Thanks

By 22 days the eggs should be of good size and should be able to feel them. Even if the eggs were not fertile, you should be able to feel something. Sometimes, a Cham's abdominal area will be hard to the touch and it is difficult to feel for the eggs. You have to wait for them to relax abut and then it will be easier to feel for the eggs.
Also, some Chams have a layer of fat need the skin which makes it a little harder to feel for the eggs.

My panther layed eggs 33 eggs in 17 days after mating. I wasnt in a hurry to feel around as i know the usual is 3-4 weeks. Plus you will know for sure when she starts digging.

my veiled is 19 days pregnant and she is fat, bulges above her hind legs, has the gravid colors and all...but i dont know...it just doesnt seem right....is it possible for her pregnancy to be delayed or prolonged? I don't get it, sometimes shes HUGE she can still make herself SOMEWHAT slender...but I KNOW shes pregnant, I mated her with my male, she was receptive, took it 2 days and then started showing colors and getting bigger....what should i expect in the next couple days to a week? I put her laying bin in a while back, and the temps have dropped....im confused :(

Once they show the gravid colors, they are usually gravid. One of my females took a week or so to start showing gravid colors even after spending several days with the male. She was a weirdo though. She took 65+ days from the first mating until she laid her eggs. I think she worried me and made me take her to the vet on purpose :) The day we planned to induce labor, she laid in just a couple of hours. So, yes, they can have a "delayed" or "prolonged" pregnancy depending on what you consider it all.
