When can you tell a male panther is ready?

I know my female veiled is always roaming around her cage non-stop when she becomes receptive. Is there a way to tell when a Male Panther is ready? Sancho has been roaming like no other the past few days. He is almost a year. I've got a few messages about owners wanting to breed their female with sancho but I wasn't sure if I should since he wasn't a year yet.
