I'm not sure about his behavior
but he seems to not want to be in his cage
is it to cluttered?
reading 82 in his basking spot and about 70 ambient
humidity is fine
he's eating well and his pee was white this morning so he's been drinking

he just seems to prefer my head at the moment and doesn't care for my hands

I would thin out the middle a little and see if he's more content. I have a cham that acts like that when his cage is too full for his liking. He is my little bare minimalist lol.

Is his cage high enough? Sometimes when they loose the security of being perched higher then eye level they get antsy. It's kinda a bug-a-boo of theirs ;)

He looks like an older cham, probably a year?

If so, your basking spot is too low. You should raise it into the upper 90's. Maybe he is searching for a place to heat up.

i think your cage looks awsome. how big is it? and i agree i would give a little area where he can get 90deg if he wants, me veiled loves da heat

My cage looked a lot like that until today. I noticed my little guy would only hang out in two places like in a fake bush in the top corner or on his bare uvb perch. While the rest of the cage went unused. It was completely comprised of fake vines and leaves. However, I took all that crap out and put in one Umbrella tree right in the center and I have never seen him more active. He finds food more easily and seems to enjoy zappin' any cricket that dares to climb his new home. Also, try using a camouflage towel to cover the cage instead. All that white color could be throwing him off a bit.

Yea his basking temp should be at 85-90 since he is an adult veiled.

okay thanks for the replies

bumped his basking temp up to the low 90s and sadly he is in a 18x18x36 at the moment but im building a 2x2x4 this weekend so he'll definitely feel better in that
