what type of light bulbs should i get?

If you mean for basking, i get clear, regular (not spiral) light bulbs. Typically my room temperature is 69 degrees, so i use 60 to 75 watt bulbs. If your question is about UVB, you need long flourescent style bulbs, Reptisun 5.0 from LLL Reptile seem to be the cheapest.

what if u put them in the sun alot do they still need a flourescent

Yea they will still need a light depending. Is the cage always in the sun or are u moving him out there from inside? If your moving him out there, you should minimize the handling and keep him in his cage. The outdoor days should only be a treat for him..maybe once a week or so. He will get his required amount of UVB from the lights. If he is permanently outdoors..he can regulate it on his own and a light is not required...
