Hey all
I am thinking of holding back some female and male veileds from the 9 I am getting in a couple months. What I want to do is try start a line of turquiose/bluish veileds or very bright yellow ones.
What should I look out for with the babies to tell which ones will turn out really nice looking? Apparently the 9 eggs of mine are huge compared to the usual veiled eggs so I am really excited to see them.
And how do you actually breed this line to make sure that you get better/stronger blues/yellows,etc every generation?
People here in S.A will just breed any veiled with any veiled, aslong as it is fast and easy to them, so they will breed brothers with sisters quite a lot even though it isnt necessary.
So should I just be on the look out for a really nicely coloured adult male or can I see from my own baby veileds which ones will turn out really nice?
Would you consider this a sunburst male? Because this male had colours that I had never seen on any other male veiled here in S.A
I kept him a few years ago but he was never interested in the females...
He did not get those burns with me, I bought him when he was already full grown and had those injuries.
