what time should i setup my lights

I am looking into getting a panther the only place I have room for and the place I spend most of my time is the living room so needless to say there is some kind of light on until 11pm and dogs and people going in and out . my question is how do I setup sleep time

My enclosures are out in my living area, once I turn out the lights the guys settle in for sleep time even if its not totally dark. I cover both of the enclosures with towels so its darker in their while we are still awake in the living area. We are not a noisy household. TV not on much, no barking dogs etc.

Covering the cage is best if you are going to have lights on past his bedtime.

And for the record- noise does not realy bother them, its more vibrations, as they don't have an outer ear and for all intensive purposes are deaf,

Ok I leave my house around 7:45 am so I would Feed around 7:30 and most night I get home around 7:30pm so would 9pm be ok to cover
