I've been reading to cover the dirt in the live plant pots with rocks, but I haven't been able to find an approximate size. If I use too large rocks, then feeds can hide in the gaps, but too small and they might eat them.
I have a bag of pea gravel (around 1/2"), I assume it's too small. I see some 1-1/2" rocks (labeled as river rocks) at HD, would they work?
I'd have to go to the garden shop to get bigger ones, but will if that's what I need.
