What plant is this?

Can anybody tell me what type of plant this is and if it's ok for my Panther chameleon?

Orchid, probably a dendrobium, and safe. It will NOT like growing in potting soil, try lava rock or some other heavy, but airy substrate the chameleon can't eat.
