WHAT is this!?!?!

I got back from lunch today and found this in the bottom of my Panther's cage....

Any ideas what it is?!?! It has me a bit freaked out.

I'm not opposed to running it to my vet if I need to. I just had a fecal done yesterday and that came back all clear.

Yes, but I've seen the sperm plug and that looks different and smaller. This is about an inch and a half long and 1/4 inch at the fatter end. It also looks like 2 tubes that are almost like what an artery found in a cut of meat looks like.

I just looked up some images of sperm plugs. That was fun....... I've just never seen one this big or thick. The ones I've seen have been stringy in the middle with two slightly bigger white ends...like a deflated something. That's why it didn't even come to mind that's what it might be.

They can sometimes stay a bit longer hence the size. The two tubes are for each part of the penis.

Going to be a little obnoxious here. Technically it's not a penis but a pair of hemipenes (which is why there are two plugs) which are for reproductive purposes only. So without a urethra it's not truly a penis. Turtles and tortoises have a single phallus (still not a penis because no urethra) but snakes and lizards have hemipenes. That's why you can amputate them if they prolapse or become problematic since it doesn't affect urination ability.
