What is this on my panther chameleons butt? It looks like a little string. It just showed up while he’s shedding.

That looks like part of a sperm plug. Usually they wipe/shed them on their branches and stuff.

So it’s nothing dangerous? Do I need to remove it or can I just let him be?

I would let it be for a few days and see if he gets it off on his own. I hate to tell you to pull it out as that can cause injury depending on if it’s a build up of shed and how stuck it may be. You could try to very gently remove it and if unable, seek a vet to remove it.
