what is the best food for an adult oustalets chameleon?

Crickets, roaches, hornworms, butterworms, phoenix worms, superworms, mantids, stick insects.... Offer as many as possible to add variety to his diet, but any few of these would be great. They can all be found online.

what about meal worms? so far all ive had is crickets roaches and meal worms but i heard that isnt a good diet and i was surprised cause ive had this guy for awhile and hes doing great =)

Whoever told you that is wrong. Crickets, roaches, hornworms, superworms, mealworms, waxworms (in moderation), katydids, grasshoppers, mantids, and many other feeders are good. The greater the variety, the better.

ok thanks and this is a hornworm right?

Yep, that's a hornworm. But don't use any that have been feeding on tomato plants, as these are poisonous to reptiles.

I couldn't tell you exactly why, but the tomato leaves are poisonous to most animals, dogs and (I believe) us included. So hornworms that feed on them will still carry that toxin into the animals they feed, so it's better to not use ones that have been feeding on tomatoes. If you order them online they will come with premade food to keep them alive that is safe.

ok cool thanks man! and dude one day i had the cage outside for him to sun and a brown anole got in and was the coolest thing seeing him snatch the brown anole up like nothing!
