what if they don't like it!??

I just ordered some dubias because I'm getting nauseous from the cricket smell. But after reading some posts of dubias I'm scared my chams won't like it and I'll have like 200 dubias I can't do anything with. What have you guys done when your cham doesn't like certain feeders?

release them into my neighbors yard.... haha just kidding keep trying to feed them to your animal you can even sell them on craigslist otherwise or if your sick of them just give them away to members on here or on craigslist.

DAMN! 200? haha should of started with 10-20, thats what i did. My cham doesn't care for them because they don't wiggle around allot.

If your cham does, then you lucked out :)

I know, I wanted to try 10-20 but everyone wanted me to order 100 or more and if I do get lucky and they like it...200 isn't really a lot since I'm feeding 3 chams. But 200 is A LOT if they don't like it. I was feeling pretty confident until I started reading the posts :/

I currently have +/- 1000 dubs that I have unsuccessfully been able to feed to any of my boys... I also have about 75-100 Hissers that aren't being touched!  <----That's ok, the hissers are my retirement fund... :D

Okay, I'll try and do that too. I ordered smaller ones so it doesn't really startle them. My veiled freaks out when he doesn't recognize larger bugs. I call him my diva LOL

haha well you deserve the big DAMN!

Hissers freak me out...

lol. The only thing that gets me is when they hiss and JUMP at the same time when I'm reaching for one! It startles me everytime and I ain't no small dude... :p
Haha tell me about it, I'm a big dude aswell LOL. I'm in the 6'2" 250lbs club.

I can't even imagine them jumping and hissing, def makes me even more nervous about them!

I've been able to get all of mine to eat them. If they wont take one initially try using the freshly molted white ones and/or flipping them on their backs so they kick their legs around.

oh that's a good idea...they seem to freak out when they're on their backs.

I bought a whole load of other animals that are less fussy & they eat the left-overs- perhaps an expensive stratedy lol

haha I don't need more animals. I already have 2 dogs 1 cat 1 parrot and the 3 chams and a salt tank. I'm sure my cat would have fun playing with the dubias though but probably not a good idea.

Ah, I have 2 axolotls & a hedgehog that are virtually dustbins- they rarely spit out a feeder. My cat just plays with them. He'll grab them in his mouth, but ever-so gently so they don't get hurt lol

I always wanted a hedgehog! but they're illegal in California so I'd have to buy one out of state and bring it back. My cat does that too! or she'll place her paws over them...not squishing it and when she opens her paws up to check on the bug..they get away -____-"
