i have a cage and some vines.... ive done alot of reading & my cousin use to breed and sell chameleons, untill he started working in alaska.. hes coming down in a month and bringing me a panther chameleon as a birthday gift.. he will also help me as well but i would like some advice on some of the best thing to use for my future lil guy..

so i know i need:
*more vines/folage, or a plant like a ficus, is there any other live plant thats ok for them?

*heat lamp, what is the best wattage? i herd a 40 watt incandescent bulb...

* a misting kit.. i herd either.. mistking.com.. promist.com.. or herbmist.com..were the best brands... a dripper system? whats better and whats the diffrence?

* suppliments: reptivite, repcal w/ d3, minerall O... with a scedualle of:
once a week: herptivite or reptivite (i herd was better).
once a week: repcal
twice a week: minerall O

*my cage has an easy wipe up bottum...

what would you recomend being the best feeding sceduale... and the best food for the lil guy?
like i said my cousin will be here for a few months to help me, becuase im new to chameleon ownership but have always wanted one... im soo excited!! and any advice is welcome!!!

thank you,
Rachel

Your supplement schedule is wrong.
you need a plain calcium without d3 for every feeding.
a calicum wiht d3 twicea month.
and a multivitamin twice a month.
As for feeding, small crickets, 10-20 a day, or as much as he will eat.
crickets and dubia roaches are considered a staple food, but you can also bring in superworms, waxworms, calciworms, butterworms as treats.
