What age would you say my baby Ambanja Panthers are?

Hi there, i'm the proud mum of a male and female pair of Ambanja Panthers. I have owned them for 3 months on 22/12.
I was told when I purchased them that they were 3 months old, however looking at other peoples pics of there Chams at 5 1/2 months (which mine should now be) mine seem very small.
There doing great, and eat and drink plenty ~ and are approx 3 1/2 inches long now.
I brought them from a reptile shop who purchased them from a reptile show in Germany.
The pics of them on my hand and sat together are the size they were when i purchased them, the other taken a couple of weeks ago.
What do you experts think?? Thanks :) chameleons 003.jpg

if i had to guess, it'd be about 2 months maybe almost 3 months...

are you housing them together?

The one in your hands looks 2.5 - 4 months old. All the pix look like they are healthy. What are you feeding them with and what supplementation are you using ?

I assume you have fresh UVB lights?

Power feeding to attain larger sized faster can lead to other complications. Don't worry if they are not giants, so long as they eat , drink and are healthy; you're fine.

Yea I am with Chamboy...I would say at least 3 months. Make sure you are giving them enough D3 and UVB light. Many times growth is stunted before MBD shows in their arms and back.

Hi ~ thanks for your opinions!
Looks like the reptile shop who sold me them we're correct at stating their we're 3 months when i purchased them.
Just thought they seemed on the small side compaired to photos on here of others at a similar age - glad you think they look healthy. I've spent alot of time, effort and money on getting everything correct for them.
I'm in no hurry for them to grow, was just interested.

Yeah, they have a sunglow 5.0 uvb strip light and heat lamps on 12 hours a day. I feed them each 5-8 size 3 crickets a day, which i gut load with fresh fruit and veg and also dust one or two of the crixs with calcium powder once a week.
I monitor their heat and humidity at least 5 times a day,and their misted three times a day.
I did my homework before purchasing these little guys and so far so good, their happy and healthy and eating and drinking well.
Just wondered if there we're as old as i was told when purchased - which i now know to be correct.
Thanks guys :D

sorry but you deff didnt purchase them when they were 3 months old or they would be alot bigger by now , the guy is BS you and is just saying that you baught them from him at 3 months so you dont chew his ass off for selling you something to young , trust me if you got them when they were tiny then you most likly got them around the 2 or 3rd week after they were born ,unless who ever had them befor neglected them and never fed them food then you would have a malnurished chameleon so it wouldnt grow as big in such a small matter of time but there eating and drinking like you said and like Harry said if there drinking and eating then there fine

Yeah those little chameleons are probably closer to three months NOW than they were when you purchased them. I think most of the people who were saying "three months" were saying that three months appears to be their age now. They are NOT five months old. They do appear to be very healthy though. This is just another reason not to purchase chameleons from pet shops.

I'm a little confussed now!!
Are you guys saying that my chams are 3 months NOW ~ or that they were in the first three pics???
Chromachameleons you said the pic of the one in my hand looks 3 months old, this picture was when i first got the little guys 2 1/2 months ago (which would now make them 5 1/2months, 5months in the bottom pic of him on vine was taken). And the other two pics are when i first got them (the two of them together and the one on my finger) the last picture is my male chameleon only a couple of weeks ago at what should be 5 months.
Kat77 you are saying the their closer to 3 months now?? Is that from the last pic?? Or do you think they looked that age in the first three pics??

Unfortunatly in the UK or at least as far as i've seen after LOTS of searching we don't have amasing chameleon breeders like your lucky enough to find in the states. The rep shop i purchased them from had only brought them back from a reptile show in Germany the week that i purchased them.
I had put my name down to contact if they got any Panthers. There really pretty hard to get hold of here.

first 3 photos look about 3 months.

the 4th one, he looks quiet small...if they are that big as of now, they are not much older then 3 months.

no i don't think so... havn't even heard of it to be honest. so if i missed it, that'd be why

Still confussed!
Sang ~ the first three pics were taken when i first got them and the forth taken 2 months later.
So i really would like guesses at to the forth pic as this was only taken 2 weeks ago!
Cifardo 4 you think pic 4 is at 3 months then yeah!!

no i don't think so... havn't even heard of it to be honest. so if i missed it, that'd be why
i was a skateboarder about twenty years ago i was sponsored am but anyway tempe arizona was home to a lot of street skating comps years ago and when i read your location lets just say it took me back a bit haha they were great comps there

ahh, the skating industry out here has changed quiet a bit.

most the parks now are in scottsdale and mesa. there isn't many good places in tempe to skate now, with all the developement.
