What’s happening to Spyro?

Hey guys, so recently this has concerned me a bit.

Like 1 week ago, I noticed Spyro’s heat lamp had moved to the left too much. I just nudged it so it would be on his stick that’s usually beneath it.

For some reason, he has just stayed hiding in the corner of his cage and doesn’t really want to move anywhere else. The only way I have got him to move away is by luring him out with crickets and hornworms.

It’s really scaring me after the brown anole situation I just had if you guys saw my forum post on that.

Oh, and I changed his UVB bulb and he seems to be hiding even more. A few times I could see him not hiding but now he’s only been hiding in the corner.

 Not really sure why he’d be doing this. Maybe he’s got the winter funk? Is there something new in the room or his enclosure that might be spooking him? Even maybe something like hanging a red shirt on the back of a chair near him? (Most don’t like red) Was he able to see the anole? Look around for anything that he could be trying to avoid. As long as he’s still eating, drinking and keeping his eyes open, I would just monitor him.

I remember…you brought the frozen brown anole into your house to try to save it. Did you put it in a different room than your chameleon? Could your chameleon see it?

Sorry you lost the anole…you gave it a chance at a longer life…but it might have been it’s time to go when you found it. ☹️

Is it a different strength of UVB light? Different brand?

No, it’s the same UVB I’ve been using for Spyro. Reptisun T5 5.0.

And, Spyro is kept like in my main entrance I would call it. Just a giant room with 3 sections really.

I kept the anole on a stand where Spyro couldn’t see him becuase I suspected if he saw the anole he might get weird.

And luckily, today I came back to my house and Spyro wasn’t hiding!
