west coast mellers!!!

I don't think you will be able to picky about what part of the states you get a true cb melleri from.

You are fortunate if you can find them anywhere.

There are "farm bred" right now on a importer pricelist I get. These are not true cb - probably ch from animals held in Africa prior to their export or captive hatched from animals that laid while waiting to be sold at the importer/wholesaler and I haven't looked at kingsnake.com but I would not be surprised if these are not the "cb" you are seeing for sale there. I don't know that for sure and don't mean to speak falsely, but heads up to be cautious if you are seeing relatively inexpensive (less than $200) "cb" 3 week old animals for sale right now. Breeding these is not as simple as it seems- I've been trying without success to get repeat and consistent breeding. Because of the care involved, anyone who has bred these for real will almost certainly not be shipping them out at a few weeks of age.

Even captive hatched like this are not available too often compared to panthers or whatnot.

I haven't heard of any true captive bred available since mine a year ago. It is not something that happens often at all (yet- give me a few more years LOL).

Your best bet is to wait until someone here on the forums has some. There are some eggs due to hatch any day now from chams1. Probably your best bet if you want true captive bred animals.

thanks i know what your talking about. i'd wait if need be for a ch mellers right now i wouldnt want to risk a wc meelers due to my house its big but dont and will not risk exposing my other chams to parasites bringing in any type of wc cham!!!!

Any CB cham can have parasites too. That's why it's important to quarantine and get fecals done.

duhh!!!:p thats what i do with all my chams bro i keep a clean tighty house sorry ex military so i am a neat freak with that stuff hence why i never got the ball python or green tree one due to the facts from the ones i know that have owners always seem to have a problem with mites and always have to use special insectisides to rid their house of them for the time being!!! but imo i dont' think its the snakes that attract them it the wood shavings and coconut material they use to let them hide in the ball pythons cage and the coconuts grinds in the bottom of the gtp's!!!

I don't remember where but I heard that flchams will be hatching more cb mellers hopefully around november. Not 100% on whether its true or not. Might be worth emailing them and finding out though.
