Well Wishes For My Cham :(

My poor little man (Veiled Chameleon) who is 5 months isn't well at the minute, I was spraying him and noticed his left eye is all closed up and swelled and won't open and has gone off his food and he is due for a vet appointment Wednesday with the reptile vet.

I don't even know what could have caused this :( his other eye is fine, he isn't dyhydrated as he continues to drink and his urate is nice and white, there are no loose crickets in his cage at night, nothing thing shape as wire I use to hole the fake plants is tied on the outside of the cage so its not sharp. I don't use real plants so it can't be sap and has his recommended calcium supplements.

Hope he'll be ok :(

Sorry to hear that your little man's not doing well. You are doing the right thing by taking him to the vets. Until Wednesday I'd give him some nice long very warm showers.

I've been giving him extra long sprays with nice warm water. I'm still putting food in his cup hoping he gets a little appitite, but as one eye doesn't seem to be working, he doesn't seem to either not have intrest or can't see them :(

The showers will help more than the mistings because the humidity cloud it produces. Have they shed recently?

sorry to hear you are having a bad time, but veiled are quite the troppers so you have an excelent chane to fix him, good on you for a quick vet visit.
he may not feel he can accuratly shoot with only one eye, you could try holding a cricket out for him to grab right from your fingers.

Yes he shed just before Christmas and all shed came off fine so I know its not a stuck shed are anything.

I've tried hand feeding him and despite a bad eye, still a bad tempered little sod  and never been a hand feeder unlike my panther, its gone within seconds from my hands

Thanks for the well wishes, he's in at the vets tomorrow at 3PM, did want to get him sooner but had no morning appointments so 3PM was the earliest, receptionist informed me its £30 just for the consultation, a little worried about the overall bill but some family members said if I really need a little help, they've offered to help me out this one. But the appointment can't come quick enough for me, he hasn't even been active all day, just been sat on his branch in the upper right corner :( but managed to get one cricket but that's it, hasn't even had a drink, he usually has a drink seconds after a 2-3 minute mist.

Feel like tears :(
