WC animals.. breeding records
So how long in captivity before one can be sure your female clutch is sired by your male? Is there a specific clean out timeline? Number of clutches? or the first clutch always a unknown sire? I believe some species can retain sperm.. is there a general limit to that?



Is there a hobby standard what to call this WC, unknown male that may have bred the female? If you use unknown only down the road a pedigree database is going to see that as a common ancestor, so curious how people mark that or what record keeping names they used for the unknown sire,
