Waxmoths

How often can I feed these buggers to my 3 year old veiled? I know the larvae are very high in fat, are the mots the same? I got 100 waxworms hoping to turn some into moths. My little 3 month old panthers won't touch em! Probably not a bad thing because they are unhealthy. I just bought them for the first time for variety, so if I can't use all of them I will just feed them to my chickens!:D

I remember reading somewhere that they use up most of their fat reserves during pupation and are much less fatty in moth form. They are a pain though - they don't fly, they just flutter to the ground! Amy likes them and Lily used to too. I held them by a wing so they flapped around and it got their attention straight away! As for the nutritional content, I don't know.

Thanks Miss Lily, that was just what I was wondering. That is the reason I bought them so it is good to know I can offer them as an occasional treat without risking fattening the liver too much.
