his urate is white and his feces seems fine. what is the best time of day for the heavy misting? i assume morning due to dew and all. thus far i like noticing the difference between my new guy (fischer's) and my old guy (veiled)

new guy has not showed much interest in food beyond crickets. i'm thinking of catching him some moths because i read (here i believe) that this species likes them. i was also thinking to get some wax worms and letting them develop into moths. i think he might dig that? no?

One of my Fischer's really liked worms in a cup...it was pretty much a party at the candy counter when I put those in...The still surviving Fischer's won't look at a worm, never has. I've even tried letting supers climb the cage and he just moves away from them. None of my Fischer's has looked at a flying insect, but that isn't necessarily representative. The only chameleon I ever had who went after flying insects was a Rudis.

I think you should have a dripper going as long as the light is on.

I agree that morning is the most natural time for dew, but a lot of mountain areas get rain mid day (heck, a lot of islands in the pacific get that) so I think a second heavy mist in the afternoon would be appropriate. I would just want there to be enough time for the cage to dry out before "lights out".
