Warm at night...

So I'm not sure on the exact temps in my house at night but I'm pretty sure it drops down to the 50's.

Now I know the ideal temp for a veiled at night is around 60. Anyone have any ideas on how to keep my cham a lil warmer at night?

p.s. I dont get the lil guy till tuesday so i have a lil time to prepare.

You can use a infrared light bulb for nights or you can use ceramic heaters if you dont want light in the room....

In the rare instances that I need additional warmth at night I use a reptile night bulb in a clamp light, and just turn it on late at night. Heat rises, and so I set it low, on the side of the cage, not directly near the cham. It is just meant to raise the ambient temp up a bit. Be sure you measure the temp, though, so you're not overheating. The other option is to leave the heat on in that room. But I would think that would be more expensive.

blacky, if you keep the AC on during the night. be careful, 70's are good, i keep my AC Off at night, and usually inside temps hang around 66-71 at night.

i don't think you will need a heater, just pay attention, and if you do get a heater, space it so that it heats a large area as opposed to a small area...ambient warmth is better then centralized warmth.

just don't over heat them, you will need a temp drop at night.

be more worried about the summer temps when those role around

yea due to the nice weather all day this time of year, we don't ever have our AC on so that's not a problem. I just wanna make sure the lil guy doesn't get tooooo cold at night.

But what about the exact opposite, Whats a good way to keep him cooler in the summer time?
