Wanted: Crickets!

Going to try and buy crickets in bulk again. (last time ants got ahold of them) Looking for 250 to 400 1/2 inch if anyone knows a place that takes paypal let me know

how you gonna deal with the freakin ants this time?
My free 1000 crickets i got from NARBC are gone in 2 days by ants.
I still see ants running about here and there in my reptile room.
I kept my crix in the deli cup with cloth lid now.

Dang. I hate ants!

It's been pretty cold lately and when it's cold I hardly see ants thats why I want to test out 250 crickets and see if it happens again. I buy 100 at a time from petco each week and no ants get them in that container but there is no way that container can hold 250+ But paying 11 cents per cricket at petco is eating a hole in my wallet

next time you want crix, you can buy 500 and split half with me
R u often go to SBCK Meeting?
Steve usually is the cricket guy . we buy bulk crickets and split them.

O goodness no.. I never buy any feeder nor animals from Petco.
Super rip off.

I haven't been able to make it to the SBCK meetings because of work or my sons sports it's always one or the other. I've bought crickets, hornworms, cricket crack and etc from Steve. I work like 2 blocks from him so I just pick them up from him. LOL how do you seperate them? I had a problem just getting them out of the box and into the container last time lol atleast 50+ crickets got away! I need 1/2 size (4 week) old crickets the last ones I bought 3 week old were too small

A good way to keep ants away is to put the container on a brick in a tray of water.. ants cannot cross water..

Also killing the ants helps too, if you are keeping them indoors.. you can use a product called Terro.. it's a liquid that you put a drop on a piece of cardboard.. the ants come, eat the stuff, bring it back to their nest (if they make it that far), and die.
