Can anyone please assist?

Cage Type - Glass Terrarium with mesh top 45x45x60 cm
Lighting - Solar Glo Sun simulating Lamp (Exo Terra) 8am-8pm, 125 W
Humididty/Temp - Not measured yet.
Plants - Ficus benjamena, fake
Location - Living room, near vent. High traffic. 3.5 ft high off ground.
Male - Veiled Chameleon, 4 months, in my care for 1 week.
Handling - Handle the Chameleon 2 times a day for <10 minutes.
Feeding - Crickets so far. 1-2 a day. Sprinkling calcium (zoo med repti calcium).
Watering - Dripping all day from overhead container into another catch container. Changing water everyday? Drinks frequently from leaves.
Fecal Description - One fecal viewed, tiny bit of flat brown - large area of whitish green chalky substance. 1cmx1cm.

Current Problem -

My chameleon is brand new (first time owner) and rubs his eyes alot on branches. He switches which eye he rubs once and awhile, however when doing so puffs his eye out far (looks red coloured on buldge) and rubs.

He also walks 80% of the time with his eyes closed. Ive seen him fall a few times, and its gotten me concerned. He hasnt eaten much lately, but drinks frequently. He CAN open his eyes, but seems like he does not like to.

His eyes look normal when open from what i can see, other then that the skin on the outside is alittle bit darker coloured. He also tends to puff his eyes out when they are closed as well some times.

Ive tried misting him for days, but it hasnt seem to work. Any suggestions? I really like him, and am trying to do everything possible from having to bring him back to the store I purchased him at, as they want to replace him.

SIDE NOTE: He tends to have a few white spots on his back and a few on his head. Im not sure if they are shedding skin or something else.

Im posting a few pictures of him below.

You need to get this little guy out of that glass terrarium and into a screened enclosure. Get a Reptisun 5.0 UVB bulb and a 40 to 60 watt basking light. You need a way to measure the temp & humidity. You should be misting 2 to 3 time a day with warm water. Put some live plants in the screened enclosure. You need to gutload your feeders and dust with 3 different kinds of dust. Use plain Calcium at just about every feeding, calcium with D3 2 to 3times a month and Herptivite once or twice a month. Do you have a chameleon vet? This web site below will give you some great info on raising a veiled chameleon.

Everything Jannb said....asap!!

Also don't handle the guy so much. This stresses them a lot especially male veileds. Stick to handling him every couple days basically when you clean out the cage.

Although you do need to make husbandry changes, you need to address the problems with his health first. I would get him to a vet ASAP.

You are slowly cooking him with tht light and that glass cage. It is essential to know temps and 4 month old should be in the mid 80s at the highest. That bulb can get temps way over 100.
