Vines Back From the Dead

I gathered some vines from my back yard, boiled a large pot of water, then then submerged the vines in a bucket of that boiling hot water for 30 minutes. I was doing my morning spray when I noticed something strange... All but one of them was killed! Guess I should have baked them instead. I pulled it because I’m not sure what it is and it’s definitely not something on the safe list.

We once had a Wandering Jew vine that survived a New England winter with no pot, soil, or roots. We found it in the spring, laying on top of a hedge, growing from both ends like some weird air plant.
