Hello my Veiled Chameleon is around 4 months old, I have had him since June. Just 3 days ago he started to get very weak and not eat as much. Lastnight I thought was the end bc he couldn't hold himself very well at all. He wouldn't eat or drink. I did get him to eat a little bit of lettus but not much. His health went down hill very fast. I don't know ig the MBD sets n that fast or not. I have been taking great care of him; or so I thought. Does anyone have any advice?? Please help me if you can.
Thanks,
Kellty

if you have been taking great care of him, which i believe you have been by the sounds of it, then i suggest you 1st) get a fecal done and 2nd) get him examined by a herp vet. Both can obviously done at the same time, but you should get him checked for parasites first and foremost.

thank you

Yes I am taking him to the vet today....do you think that the crickets or meal worms could have cause this?? On Monday I had just bought new and it seems like he has went down hill from there?

We need a lot more information. You should fill out the how to ask for help form and print it for you vet so they have all the information.

i dont think the crickets or meals would have anything to do with it, unless you have been letting your gut load mold lately.

Try taking her whole enclosure outside for a good 4 hours of sunlight every chance you get to (everyday you don't have work).

chams can be sick for a long time before they start to show semptoms. im going through that now with my female jacksons. i feel your pain
