OK, so Kukui is about 8 months old now and is showing beautifffuuullll colors (thanks, LanceCham, for such a beautiful cham!). However, this morning, I noticed he is starting to shed .... again!

he shed once at the end of november, right before thanksgiving, and finished up another shed about a week ago. They were both full body sheds, where everything went, at least that I could tell. And now, it looks like he is starting again.

He's been eating voraciously - downing roughly 50-70 crickets a week. He doesn't cup feed, so it is hard to keep an accurate number, but I do buy 60 crickets every sunday and they are gone by the next week, save for a few that may be roaming around his cage!

My big concern is if his environment is causing his shed or whatever. I'm betting it's a growth spurt, since he is fine except for the shedding. Anyone else have a cham thats shed this much and this often?

If I ate 70 crickets a week Id probably be shedding too. J/k he's probably growing quickly. Check temps, RH , and basking temps just to make sure his climate is not related to the shedding. More than likely just growing out of the old and in with the new.

That's what I'm figuring. I know he did have a sudden change in temp recently - our power was out for a few days in November and I had to keep him warm via blankets and such over the cage and his temp did dip down, so I',m just wondering if it's maybe a residual reaction to the sudden change in temp. My room got down to 50 degrees but I managed to keep his cage around 65, almost no humidity, which isn't the best, but it was after this that he started to eat a lot and shed, so I just associated those two. But it's been more than a month since the power went out and he still eats like a son of a gun. I know for those few days, he didn't eat the crickets (although he munched on his greens) and the crickets werent staying alive much anyway. Ugh, just one of those stressful factors of owning a cham, I guess.
