Veiled or Panther??? Any suggestions

I am going to purchase a chameleon but cannot make my mind up as to which I would like to have the most a veiled or a panther. I think they both have their positive factors, but would also like to have one that has a mild temperment. I had a veiled but he was older when I got him and he recently passed. I didn't realize how much I loved chameleons till he was gone. I am wanting another one now. Any suggestions???

Sorry you lost your chameleon. I know what you mean by missing them and wanting another!

The care needs of Veileds and Panthers are largely the same. My feeling is that Panthers have a slightly better reputation for being tolerant vs aggressive, but really there's no way to know for sure. Either one and either sex can be mild or not - its luck of the draw combined with how you care for and interact with the animal that will determine attitude.

Good luck. I'm in the same boat as you. I wanted a veiled, until I seen how colorful the panthers are and that their care is the same. There also seems to be more panthers available. I am pretty much going to base it on which one comes available first for my price range. I'm looking for older then a hatchling/baby.
