Veiled open mouth after eating

This is my first chameleon so I'm not sure if this is a health issue or normal behavoir.

My two and half year old veiled, after eating will sit sometimes with his head held upwards and open his mouth really wide, sometimes even making a soft hiss. my biggest concern is if he is choking. He doesn't change colour or puff up so its not him being angry there has been no change to the amount he eats though as he has got older his tounge has become less accurate at catching crickets

I feed him standard crickets as a main diet.

As stated this is my first chameleon so it may just be me being over cautious about a normal behavoir

Hello!
Welcome to CF!
Im glad you are here!

Its imperative to get straight to it.
You are describing a respiratory infection.
This is usually an easily treatable illness, if that is indeed what you are dealing with.
You definitely dont want it progressing any more than it is if he does have a RI.
In order to properly understand whats going on, Ill ask that you fill out the "how to ask for help form" which goes over all aspects of your husbandry, and the animal.
Please be as detailed as possible when filling it out.
We have many high level experts here that will be able to go over it, and tell you how to proceed.

Here is the form.
(pictures of your setup are invaluable if you can post them)
