I just got a male three month old Veiled last night. I was wondering if there is a way I can help enhance his color as he grows up. For example can his diet help with color?
Here are some things I've seen on the forums that people "claim" to help their chams color;
1. Grow lights!
2. feeding your bugs good stuff
3. variety of bugs for your cham (horn worms, silk worms, crickets, dubias, katydids, mantids, isopods, superworms) instead of just crickets
4. sunlight (take your cham outside on your arm so he can bask and enjoy sun
I think maybe grow lights would help the most.
Are you already familiar with the proper cage setups and diets? Sometimes chams are also unhappy and dark when they hate their cage.
ex; mine had coco fiber and a single ficus tree. He turned dark grey and tried to get out because i had created a bad environment. I also used a red light at night which is not good.
