Veiled Chameleons and Hibernation/Brumation (new questions)

Hello every one! I was just reading through the old posts about hibernation and brumation and was wondering if anyone actually did any of the experiments? and if so what the results where? Now that fall is upon us with winter close behind, I have seen a lot of posts about hunger strikes. People where thinking in the old thread that it was because of hibernation... . I have a male veiled and this will be our first winter together, I would love to know what to look for and expect. Thanks a bunch!!
