Hey guys,
Here is some info on my veiled chameleon, Clyde, and his enclosure;
Gender: Male
Age: 8 Months (according to the pet store)
He has been in my care for two months.
I only handle him if he is in a good mood and showing signs that he wants to free roam.
Feeding: Mainly mealworms, but occasionally silk worms, wax worms, crickets and nightcrawlers. Kale and rasberries, but he rarely eats that. I feel him about 6-9 medium sized feeders every other day. Dusting with Fluker's calcium/vitamins twice a month.
Watering: I keep an automatic fogger running in his enclosure during the day. Mist 1-2 times per day for about 30 seconds.
Feces look normal.
Enclosure Description:
175 gallon Reptarium Enclosure.
I dont know about the lights. I bought a combo lamp with one infrared light and what I believe is the correct UV day light (it looks like a regular room light), but the pet store was wrong about a lot of things, so i wouldn't be surprised to find out this is a bad light. Dont have the box and cant remember the company name or any info.
Temp is just uner 80 degrees F.
There is a Yucca Tree and a small fern in his enclosure as well as plenty of fake plants and foliage for climbing.
The enclosure is away from any human traffic in my bedroom.
Problem:
For the past couple of days he has been sleeping during the day. Pretty much all day, he will sit in the same spot and sleep. When I feed him i usually put the food bowl in front of him so he can see the food and then put it in its normal spot and he will eat, but today he didn't move to get his food and hasn't eaten all day.
I really love my cham, but I cannot afford to go to a vet right now. I am scared, please HELP.
