Veiled chameleon, female or male?

I was told by the store that my chameleon is a male but I'm pretty sure it's a female. If it is a female, what extra steps should I be taking?

For an adult female ambient temp of 75-80F, basking 85F. Basically you want a bit lower basking site than a male would get.

Sure looks to be a female to me as well!

That is a female for sure. There is absolutely no sign of a tarsal spur. You could post a pic of the whole chameleon, but based on the foot(which is how to sex if they are young) you have a female there. They develop colors later which distinguishes them.
