Veiled cham with grey head?

I have a male veiled chameleon, he's 6 months old and for the past two month his has had a grey head. He since has shed twice but his head is still grey...

I had a few thoughts as to what it could be but he's my first cham so do want to just assume, when he basks he likes to do so as closely as possible his basking spot is always between 28-30 degrees celcius, could it be dry skin although he is misted regulary?

Or my second thought... could it be his diet and dusting... His live food is gut loaded and I use a regular calci-dust and nutrobal from pets at home, calci-dust used 3-4 meals per week and nutrobal just once a week as he only eats one locust/hooper/cricket a day.

I have looked around for a better calcium supplement and found repti-calcium with d3 but Im not sure how often to use it and if i need other supplments on top? (i.e nutrobal)?

Other than those suggestions im stuck... but really could do with some advice, I will post a picture or two below :)

Some veileds' heads get grayer (rather a paler green compared to the rest of the body) as they age. A pic would help. but its probably normal coloration.
