I've been reading a lot about these two factors. And come across some wide range of suggestions.

What should basking temp spot be?
Is it age specific?

How long should basking temp be maintained? I've read some suggestions of only in the morning hours....

title answers half the question...age? Have not gotten one yet, running the habitat until I get it working as I want before purchase.

Right now I am holding at 83-85 degree basking spot temperature with a 100w bulb in a glass habitat. It has screens for ventilation on top and front/bottom

Okay didn't notice that. Fore females, and juvenile (less than 5 months old) I would put it at about 85 degrees. For an adult I would go to around 90-95 degrees. Hope this helps.
